5 speed conversion??

Well... i was j/w i have a Auto 2.4 and wanted to procharge it and the tranny probably won't hold up to the power so i was wondering if there's a conversion kit to the 5 speed manual and then i'd upgrade it

the 6 speed conversion is only for the 5 speed thats in the ss/sc's.. the auto's thats in the balts can actually handle more than the 5 speeds. as for doin a conversion the cost of havin it done is not worth it. its not quiet as easy as a honda would be.

It already does.

It can handle a good amount of torque, it's rating is way higher than the F23.

I believe the auto can handle in the 300+ tq range...

hell, the F35 in the ss/sc is only rated to 258 tq IIRC...

too expensive to swap to a 5spd..but the auto in the 2.4 handles more power than the 5psd in the 2.4

What they all said... it handles more power and more tq than any 5 speed that chevy puts in these cars. just stick with the auto bro and deal with it... plus you should be a better racer because its instant shifts.. you could always get a b&m shift plus

you would be a lot better off to get a B&M shiftplus or a tranny tune.

Get to it.

I wanted to do this earlier. Then I saw how incredibly hard it would be. So I'm just beefing my auto up. secondary cooler, synthetic fluid, shift plus, etc. Making it run super efficient. That's what I'd suggest. That and supercharge it. You could probably even turbo for cheaper and easier than the manual swap.. lol.
