Get it custom made. 2 1/4" compression or mendrel bends.

What would be my best choice if I wanted an exhaust that had a nice mellow tone, better than stock. I don't want anything that sounds ricey.

Check out this thread. Has multiple sound clips of different exhausts. Should help you out.

the touring is more of a mellow yet deeper sound and not too loud, where as the sport is more agressive and louder but not as low in tone. Both yield about the same performance gains, give or take 1 whp or 2 wtq. good luck

I listened to them all and I ended up liking the magnaflow. Not a bad price either.

While on this topic anyone out there get new headers with thier exaust system? IF so what were the benifits in HP ant Torque? or was the difference from the stock ones to the after market not worth the price.

see, i like the magnaflow because it has a clean sound to it. I don't want something too loud, and I want something loud but not too loud.

My choice, Magnaflow.

i doubt anyone is running a 16bit audio cam with boom mic from their camera so sound levels will be different from clip to clip. What sounds good on a cam may sound horrible in real life and the same goes the otherway around

Took all of 30 minutes last night with a hack saw and a few jack stands to install my GM Performance/Sport. The angle cut tip with the bowtie looks great too.

Driving on the freeway into work it was still quiet but it sounded great when you gave it some throttle. The 2.5 inch pipes are perfect for a stage II car like what mine will be.
3" is just a waste unless you start running some really high numbers like in the 300 WHP range.

PS. My Camaro had 2.75" single exhaust and it was enough for 508 RWHP.
