Body Kit

I just have a question. If i were to buy a body kit would they come in that primer gray color or could they be the GM color like red balck yellow? Also would there be modification to the cars to make them fit or would they just go into pre-existing holes?

It depends on the kit and model of your car. List the kit you are looking at and the model of your car and we'll have the answer for you.

Most body kits do not come pre-painted. It's very hard to find a manufacturer that does this unless it's straight from the factory (The SAP on the GTO's come pre-painted in select colors)

Also if it's a kit that's made specifically for your model car, then it should be a direct fit although most of them do flex and could give you some installation problems

Hope that helps a bit

heres the thing with body panels and kits. most of them have extra material because the maker never knows EXACTLY what you're doing. to properly install one, there is a lot of work

1. remove old panel

2. test fit new one

3. trim and mark up where you may need to add material (filler)

4. test fit again.

5. with a fibreglass kit (only for show) you'd cover in a very very fine layer of filler to make it smooth as it usually isn't. and then SAND a lot.

6. clean and prime

7. paint

8 install.

9. spend the rest of your life being called a ricer.
