bolt on 2.4 dyno numbers

ok so i got my car dyno'd this past weekend. i put down 164whp. it was on a dynocom dyno. this was with ZZP midlength 1.5" primaries, 2.5" catless dp, delete resonator, and flowmaster 40 series, also have a K&N typhoon intake. i'm an auto which also sucks.

I had dyno'd before on a mustang dyno which typically reads lower than most all other dynos if not all of them and i put down 129whp with just the intake.

i will be going at the end of the month again after i get my trifecta tune just to get numbers on what that is. i have my dyno graph for the 129 pull, have't gotten the email from the place this past weekend here's the video but it doesn't show the graph, just the run.

Thats not too bad I would have thought higher even on mustang dyno with 170hp stock I would have been thinking mid 150's however tuning is almost necessary. The computer can compensate but if you want the most out of tune is needed.

well u figure 20% drivetrain loss from being auto is 34hp. so 170-34= 136 but than it's also a mustang dyno so it'll read lower then dynojet.

oh well. i could careless what the actual numbers are a track to me is a better gauge of how much your car actually improved. but i just wanted to see how much of an improvement i got with the header/dp, and exhuast modifications i made. and then i will dyno again after i am tuned.

I was about 12% loss with an auto.

171-150 = 21.

171 * .13 = 20.52

dynojet's are usually happy dynos. not bashing your numbers just saying. a mustang dyno will read the absolute lowest.

It was free, so it doesn't matter.

I've always heard DynoJets are rather reliable.

well can't argue with free lol. the only thing i've ever heard about dynos is that dynojet will give you the happy numbers and mustang dyno gives you the depressing numbers lol

Meh, no dyno is perfect.

Except GM's SAE Certified Engine dyno.

If you think about it, 171 hp isn't bad at all.

@ xander40...i say wht u do is tune and then run on a dynojet.
unless u doin a dynotune, dont waste ur money on a mustang dyno, there just best to tune on.

i don't really know where a dynojet is locally to me. i just go where i find the deals. the mustang dyno, the owners had a 24 hour official dyno day for 3 pulls for 30 bucks.

and the dynocom place has a big BBQ with sodas and stufff and it's 50 bucks for 3 pulls and they take a video and email you the video and the data sheet.
