CEL for O2 Sensor

Hey guys I have a problem that hopefully you all can help me with. I've searched the forums and can't find anything but maybe i'm just overlooking it. I've got a 2007 Cobalt SS (Non-Supercharged) 5-speed with 14,000 miles on it. The other day my Check Engine Light came on I was already out so i stopped over at Advance Auto Parts and had them check my car with a code scanner and it said it was the O2 sensor. Since then I've run my gas completely out and put 92 Octane in it since I was putting the lower grade in it before. Hopefully you guys can help me out. It's much appreciated. Thanks

I don't remember the code i'll take it back and have them scan it again to see what the code is. But they said something like I might have bad gas. So I don't know.

That was gonna be my guess on the code. I just managed to get mine taken care of recently. If you don't have any mods done to the car I would just take it to the dealership under warranty. Otherwise there's tuning or they sell products to bump your rear O2 sensor out of the path of the exhaust gases.

Ok i've been busy trying to find the right Audio System for my car. But anyway I went back and the code was PO131. If anybody knows anything about that code thanks.

REIGN gave you all the information on it but I don't think you will be able to do anything with it. From all of the conditional parameters of everything having to happen to set this code, it looks as though it is probably just a bad O2 sensor with to much resistance.

Just take the car to the dealer. This is a warranty issue and they will be more than happy to fix it for you.
