I think I'm going to buy the LSJ tb too.

I'm thinking I'll just buy all the parts I want, and when I set up with a tuner, I'll install everything there.

Things I plan on buying that I'm not scared to bolt on would be a new intake and a heat exchanger. I'm worried that the ZZP 3" intake will have some clearance issues with one of the structural supports that cross the forward side of the engine. If I have to fab some of it away, I don't know if that will harm anything or not.

But I have a good idea of a parts list I've got going.

2.7 or 2.8 pulley
Siemens 60s
ZZP stage 3 intercooler
2.5" cat back
ZZP 3" intake
LSJ throttle body
Stg2 KY clutch

After powertrain is happy, I'll invest in some solid mounts for engine and tranny. Then shortly there after, work on suspension, wheels and tires. Hopefully that will reach my goal of 260whp.

Then I'll be happy for like 2 months and want to go faster cause racecar.

I have a feeling we'll be in the same boat! I'm going to supercharge it but on stock exhaust for now. Your build list sounds pretty good. I only chose to use the LSJ throttle body because they forgot to take it off the M62 when I bought it. Win! Let me know if you start a build thread or anything, I won't be posting more until Sunday night/ Monday. That's when more parts come off the car. As for a pulley I'm sticking with the stock pulley for now. I just want to get the build done and stable before doing more.

Another update!

Okay so the first garage I had it in wasn't as good as I wanted. It had no power, no air, nothing. So I moved it into my father's barn for the build. On Saturday my gaskets, oil, stage 2 belt, and TB harness came in.

Here's some pics of what I have done today...

And here we have the intake manfiold bolted on!

Upper radiator hose and injectors come in Wednesday. Stay tuned!

Okay so a little change in plans. Recently just had my injectors and clutch come in. Injectors are installed. Clutch is going in Sunday. Tomorrow I'm buying my plugs, injector harness, heat exchanger, IC pump, 2.5 BAR and some other odds and ends.

I do have an issue though. The endplate on the intake manifold may have to replaced. There's a little piece that broke off the very top gasket, part of the aluminum casting. I could ghetto fix it and put quiksteel over it but that would probably fall off after a while. So I guess I'm going to have to take everything off the front of the motor that I just bolted down and replace the endplate...

Everything has been ordered. Just waiting for shipping. Go faster shippers! :P If everything gets here on time the car should be all together and ready for tuning Sunday, Sept. 8th. I hope!

ISSUE! Okay I got some parts in today, my fuel injector harness from ZZP doesn't even have the same connector that my stock one does. I'm going to assume it's an LSJ connector. Either way, I'm just going to cut off each connector and butt connect them together for now. (until I can find the female LSJ plug.)

Anyway, about this wiring. It makes absolutely zero sense to me. Maybe because I just woke up. But how am I supposed to wire in the MAP sensor along with the wires from the MAF? The wiring diagram in Becks how to isn't clear to me at all.

Please show me what wires go where.

Did you order the siemens 60# injectors? ZZP sells two types. EV1 is for our cars, and EV6 is for LSJ's.
Make sure you ordered the right ones. I used the 60# simply because they were plug-n-play, and they gave me room to grow.

As for the wiring, when I did my build, I spent a lot of time researching what wires go where, and what they do. I could tell you which wires connect to where, but its YOUR car and YOU have to fix it when **** breaks. I urge you to learn how your MAF and MAP system is put together, and how the LSJ is different. Yes, its convenient to ask questions and rely on have other people sort it out for you, but nothing is worse than chasing electrical problems. Do as little cutting and soldering as possible.

I'll get you the wiring diagrams and hunt down some info for you.

My injector harness was EV6, the stock one. I bought 80# injectors from a member of the forum. I didn't need the injector harness, I was told that somewhere but I can't find the thread anymore. So that's being sent back to ZZP. The pigtail I bought was the wrong one. I assumed for 20 dollars that it would be the correct pigtail, but it wasn't. It was the same exact one I have on my injector harness. So a waste of 20 bucks there. But since my post I've figured out the wiring, the correct pigtail, and the correct sensor. And yeah you are right, I should've done more research in that aspect of the build, definitely. I honestly didn't think it was going to be that complicated, so I assumed on some parts and ended up being wrong. Lesson learned, always research EVERYTHING. So my bad on that part. But I thank EVERYONE who has helped me and Jacob4ta along our journey through this. I'm very eager to learn more and more and he definitely sounds the same.

And another thanks for supplying those diagrams. I'm going to look them over!

Yay learning!

Okay guys. Here's an update. A good one this time. I got my new endplate in. I'm taking that into my machine shop today to drill and tap it with a fitting I bought. If anyone would like a HOWTO to MAKE your own dual pass, let me know. It's simple, it works, and it beats paying out the bum for something you can do yourself. Of course that's in my opinion. My CORRECT pressure sensor will be here next week, along with the CORRECT pigtail. Meanwhile this weeks purchases are the ZZP modular pulley kit and their idler pulley stand with pulley and alternator spacer. Got those for pretty cheap so instead of switching over to LSJ stuffs OR making my own, I went with what ZZP uses. Was going to run stock pulley, going to drop to 2.8. Intercooler pump will be here tomorrow so I can get that screwed in. Intercooler is on. After some confusion with the wiring...it makes more sense to me now since I had the wrong pigtail and wrong MAP sensor. Oh well, learning experience. Everything is smoothed out for now. But...

Still waiting on Wideband/Boost Gauge/Guage pod! Hopefully an interceptor too.

I've got an extra double pod sitting in the garage. It's a little rough but I'll shoot you some pics of it.

Also, I'd like to see a how too for my own dual pass, that would be awesome.

Alright, sounds good! You can post the pics here or PM them to me, whichever is easiest. How much do you want for it?

And I'll take pics today and get a how-to written up tonight for the dual pass.

What parts for your belt system did you order from ZZP? I'll probably do the same thing for my car.

I emailed them and asked if it would work. They pretty much called me a moron. So I didn't order anything from them. But just go for the LSJ conversion. Much easier in the long run. That's what I'm going to do, better than messing around with idlers, IMO.

And yeah, that first garage had no electricity. which meant no air compressor. which meant no air ratchet. PLUS a dirt floor, yeah screw that. I moved it into my fathers barn much to his dismay. :P

Why not just do a TVS from the start?

Because a TVS costs as much and the rest of the build. Not many people do TVS on 2.2/2.4's because its easier just to go turbo.

Maybe eventually. I got my M62 for dirt cheap WITH an LSJ TB from a junkyard. Came off a Redline.

I'll go TVS, you have 2.5k to loan me?
