Ordered. (:

Driving my car today casually and shifted from 2nd to 3rd and instantly went to "engine power reduced"

P2101. Another throttle body code. I have my 2.4 throttle body but it doesn't fit on the end of the M62, I assume I need an adapter plate? Or am I just a retard?

It doesn't fit well anyway. I'd just try and find an LSJ tb and roll with that.

Okay. I drove it to work just fine. Go to leave tonight and throws the same code (but no P0121 this time) and won't stay running. Guess I get to switch out throttle bodies at work! (; Too bad I can't order one until Thursday

Just saw a cool quote

"I'd rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me. You car is your story, so don't let someone else write the book."

I installed my LSJ belt stuff today. Or I should say I tried to...I have a 3.1 pulley and apparently the GM stage 2 belt is too short for this? Has anyone ran the stage 2 belt with this pulley? Me, my friend, and his dad tried for literally 2 hours to get it on and there's literally no way. Even tried the scary route and putting the blower in the belt and pushing down on it and still wouldn't work. Do I need to buy a stock LSJ belt? I know for a fact the tensioner was pushed all the way down...

Yes that belt is way too short for it lol. I have a 2.9 pulley and still have trouble getting it on at times.

Finally

Alright so since I've been working 90+ hours a week, I finally had the time this morning (90 whole minutes) to put my LSJ belt stuff on my car. Got it done and got the belt on by myself, that was a feat in itself. That tensioner is garbage, pretty sure I rounded it off. Either way the belt is on. But now I have a stupid question, what does it feel like when the clutch slips? I'm on stock clutch, car has 113k miles. I have a "new" KY clutch from noorj that I still have to put in. Going above 3k rpm loses power and seems like it just sits there and spins. I really don't want to do the clutch myself and taking it to shop will probably be $$$$$$$$.

It took a half hour and 3 guys to get my stage 2 belt on a 2.9 pulley.

Clutch slip will rev out but you wont go anywhere. Roll in a high gear at lower MPH and go WOT.

Took my buddy and I about a day off and on to do a trans replacement (which is pretty close to a clutch job)

I'm pretty sure I showed how I put my belt on. It's not that hard with the right tools. A couple of my buddies have done their clutches, and can do them in an afternoon.

The thing is I don't have any extra jacks or an engine crane. I don't have a clutch alignment tool either.. I don't feel like buying that stuff just to do a clutch.. :/ probably cheaper than bringing it to a dealer I guess.

That doesn't sound like clutch slip to me. Your revs would shoot to redline if it were.

But anyways to do the clutch you just need some kind of engine brace/support to hold it while the subframe and trans is out. An extra jack helps move the subframe but isn't needed.

It's not a fun job for a first timer but if you can find someone whose done it that will make it alot easier. My first clutch job took me about 12 hours by myself. Second clutch job took about 6 lol

Keep getting misfire codes. Car won't misfire all the time. Running NGK Lfr6a-11 or whatever they're called. Gapped at .035. I even tried the stock plugs and it does the same exact thing. i'm leaving the stock plugs in, but what could cause this? I have a CEL but forgot the number. Is it because I'm running 80s on a canned ZZP tune? Should I buy smaller injectors and send my computer back to ZZP? If I had time I'd have someone come tune it but I have a lack of that lately.

Any input would be awesome, thanks.

They're everywhere, I'll get the codes tomorrow. I lost the paper I had them written on. I start the car, it will idle about 900, which is what it did NA. I push in the clutch and put it in gear and it jumps to 1700 and fluctuates between 1700 and 2000. Then once I let the clutch out it drops back to normal. I'll get the codes tomorrow and post a video also.

Also anything above 4RPM feels like the car is going nowhere and is just slipping, complete drop in power. boost gauge reads 5-7psi the whole time. is that the clutch?
