http://www.royalpurple.com/radiator-additive.html

Purple Ice is a high performance, synthetic, radiator coolant additive. It reduces engine heat by reducing the surface tension of the radiator fluids for improved heat transfer.

Purple Ice also helps to prevent the formation of scale deposits in the radiator for optimum coolant flow, and it lubricates the water pump seals.

Purple Ice should always be used in conjunction with antifreeze in regions where freezing temperatures occur. Purple Ice is compatible with traditional ethylene glycol antifreeze (green) and GM Dex-CoolŽ antifreeze.

now pour the **** in the radiator and stop whining

straight from the royal purple people:

You can run the Purple Ice in your radiator with out causing any problems. You will need to remove enough coolant in order to fit about 8 ounces or ˝ the bottle of Purple Ice.

^Then get your mothers turkey baster out and take some coolant out of the overflow reservoir and pour it in.

This is really not that technical and if you are having a hard time with it I don’t know that you should be driving as you have to make decisions without anyone’s help there.

There once was a time when parents did not let there children drive until they could perform simple maintenance functions and checks.

Just to name a few.

1. Check and fill engine oil
2. Check and fill coolant
3. Check and fill brake fluid
4. Check and fill ATF on auto’s
5. Check and fill battery
6. Check and fill tires
7. Change a tire
8. Replace a light bulb

By the way, how is this a technical discusion specific to a LE5 2.4?

Holy **** dude, Just put it in the reservior already. A lil extra coolant in the reservior is FINE, it wont hurt anything to have it above the fill line a lil bit.
Now let this thread die

Well since you cant figure out how to put in a simple coolant additive, heres a thought DONT PUT IT IN. You dont even need it, do you race your car or push it consistantly? and is it overheating? No, so you dont need it.

Not necessarily, a engine running to cool engine produces more emissions and is less efficient, why do you think the engine is regulated to run at about 90*C?

If you're not running any serious mods or racing on a regular basis I really don't think this is necessary. I mean if you bought it already might as well go ahead and do it, but I doubt you'll see much difference.

He wont, but thats not the point... he just wants something else to say he's done to his car pretty much....

I'm sure this will make it to the "Mods List"

go to like cvs or duane reaves or whatever and get a turkey baster for like five bucks. take out some coolant and fill the res with this stuff. its not going to do much, but you already bought it and decided to make a thread on how to put it in. fill the res back up and be done with it. this is ridiculous bro, even for you.

Fine. If you're not going to use it in your car, at least put it to some use.......like using it to brush your teeth in the morning......or putting it on your cereal. It will turn your teeth a nice shade of purple......very snazzy.

P.S. - If you feel the need to throw up after, don't........it's healthier to just let the feeling pass.
