Just put straight water in... it doesn't get cold enough to freeze in new york... right?.. RIGHT.

And if it does freeze... it simple "expands" which is a code word for "porting" which will make your car faster when it melts again.

Oh and here is a smiley just in case.... and this one is winking

I have used Redline Water Wetter in Motorcycles before and it drops the coolant temp a few degrees maybe 5 or so..but I noticed that over time and heat cycles that the Water Wetter had less effect on the coolant.

I think that it is a waste if your not racing or having overheating issues. As far as performance because you engine is running alittle cooler, I think that you will not see a difference in a few degrees.

The Computer and engine are tuned to be the most efficient at 195 degrees..
I have noticed that on ever EFI vehicle that I have had, on the colder morning they runs better, but I guess that because the timing is increased and the air/fuel mixture is rich. Maybe there maybe something about a engine has alittle more compression when its cold because when metal gets hot it expands and theres more clearence between the cylinder walls and the rings creating less compression then when its cold, plus the added fuel the motor gets when its cold would create more power..

Hey its just a theory...lol

Sup chevybalt08. Did you ever add that purple stuff to ur car? I don't know why you would ever add anything to your 4 month ok whip at the time. You know the manual says not to add anything.

oops didn't mean to say ok LOL. I meant 4 month old whip.

I just switched to Royal Purple old yesterday, i need to find the coolant stuff. I really wouldn't worry about putting it in there. just read the bottle and you will be fine. I am also look at putting in Zmax as well. I put it in my truck (old truck) and it ran smoother but on a new car i am not sure if i will see the gains. it never hurts.

CC08...What you need to do is... syphon the coolant out of the coolant res. you can use about anything.. If you not scared of the taste of antifreeze then suck it out with a hose, try going to a parts store and getting a hand handle syphon/pump..or use a turkey baster...
