DC Sports Strut Bar Installed

Just wanted to throw this up here... got the DC Sports Strut Bar from Turbo Tech... install was a piece of cake... took like 20 mins in the parking lot with a 13mm wrench. Didn't have to jack the car up or anything... just got the bolts off and the bar slid right into place.

Haven't had the chance to really test the suspension difference yet... it's rained all day and I don't wanna run any fast curves when it's wet... maybe tomorrow...

I've always liked strut bars. They look mean. Plus, in a new car, the frame won't warp over time.

* thumbs up *

Equipment looks good!

also; I heard because the cobalt has a regular trunk instead of a hatch that it is stronger, like for autoX. any confermation?

Yeah, the lower sway bars are for turning or something like that. The upper ones (if applicable), keep the frame from flexing during cornering.

And I'd assume that hatches (or fast-backs) are stronger and stiffer in the rear from how they're shaped.

After running some curves over the weekend... yeah, there's definately a difference... the front stays a good bit flatter in the curves...

When I installed mine I noticed a difference ASAP. Going thru the twisties was a blast! I picked up almost an additional 10-20mph (depending on curve and situation) more around corners without sweating it. It's a great purchase.
