Escaping air sound on acceleration.

So I was cruising around with some friends and when I decided to get on the throttle I heard a weird noise. It sounds like air escaping and turns into a flapping sorta sounds at high rpms. Any ideas on what it is?

When you accelerate and get to higher RPM's, your friends get excited and start breathing heavily, then they start fapping in the back seat.

No it's not. it almost sounds like it's coming from the headers. It's like a fast popping the it turns into a loud. Itks definitely not the intake. It's somesort of a leak, but from where I have no clue.

Cracked flex pipe. It will just get worse if you don't fix it.

Now that sounds like the problem, is there anyway to verify that this is the problem? Where would the flex pipe be located?

it was so bad on my ion QC, that I could put my hand beside the flex pipe, and feel a serious amount of exhaust coming out the side......before it got too hot. find a used one from a junkyard, if you just weld in one, it'll rot in the future anyways. Dissimilar metals causes corrosion, corrosion causes holes. Or get an aftermarket downpipe with or without the catalytic converter.

Took it to the dealer, they said I would have to leave it as always. That's not an option as of right now. I'm gonna verify that this is the problem which I have no doubt in my mind that it is. It's still under warranty so I shouldn't have to worry about it. Maybe in the future I will get a ZZP Downpipe, but for now just want it fixed.
