Exclamation Fan keeps running

m confused as to what is going on with my GT 2.4L ?... the fan is running constant, the check engine light came on and i get no coolant temp reading ?

check your coolant temp sensor. it might be unplugged

ur ECT is messed up hense y no reading so I trips a code and runs the fan constantly so u dont over heat

Same thing happened to me. Its either you coolant temp sensor or your thermostat. For me it was the thermostat. Your fan will run continuously as a safe measure, so you dont over heat.
Its a pretty simple fix. Only took me 30 min.

Coolant temp sensor as Blazin said. Top of the head, right in front of the valve cover, where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. Should be a two-wire harness going to it. Either it came unplugged or the sensor crapped out, either way the car thinks it is overheating, therefore you get the fan on 24/7. CEL could be from the open circut on the temp sensor or just an overheating.
