FI w/o tune

Granted eventually i would tune the car but If i bought and installed a supercharger like a procharger.
Could i run it on a larger pulley at say 5 psi w/o a problem?

Will the ecu compensate for the larger flow rate or would the car run really lean?

Or is it somthing i really need a tune to even run the beasty?

I suggest you research first. You cannot run FI without a tune, unless to plan on building your motor up within a weeks time of it being installed.

I'm thinking the computer will try to adjust for the extra air coming in but your injectors would not be able to compensate and you'll max out. Then if you ever get into a WOT condition you'll probably lean out, knock like crazy and explode...

But maybe not, let us know what happens.....

even a stock pulley is putting you at 9lbs, and that's 70hp over stock. so no, you will blow your motor. don't do it. especially on stock injectors.

Actually you can run a procharger with no tune but,,,(theres always a but)you would have to run low low boost, if any..so basically leave your BOV wide open all the time, which you just spent alot of money on something you cant use.so like everyone else says including baby jesus and the prince of darkness.install them both together and youll be alot more happier and headache free in the end!

I'm for against it!

Get it tuned unless you like rebuilding engines.

The MAF sensor will help make up the difference but the injectors just cannot safely keep up with that kind of increased fuel demand!

Your IDC's must have been 125+% man. I seriously would not recommend that to anyone who wanted to keep the longetivity of their motor.

Wouldn't the car run SUPER lean with all that extra air forced in? The computer would be dumping the same amount of fuel in as stock, but with way more air added........that sounds like a bomb waiting to go off.

Since when has there been a SC kit peroid for the 2.4? Not the "R.A.W. kit " buy some parts list people refer to as a kit I want a full fledge Kit and i don't want a roots style blower like the m62, as i would like the upgradability only something similar to a procharger could bring. You know easily changable/upgradable intercooler, BOV,ect...

I am a previous owner of a gtp (supercharged grand prix). When we wanted to increase the boost on our cars we couldnt just change the pulley because the engine is trying to ram to much air into the car without mods such as headers, rocker arms, injectors ect. to get the timing correct. THis caused knock retart and can chip pistons! even blow motors! I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST increasing boost without a tune or other mods. At least get a scanner to see if the can has KR.
