Finally time to go turbo, but with a few answers needed...

Ok, so i will be purchasing the Alpine Developments 2.2 Turbo kit. I will be deleting the piggyback unit and 5th injector. It comes as a cold air intake pipe which i will be changing to a short ram to compliment the rk sport ram air hood. Also Alpine will be sourcing me a bigger turbo than what comes with the 2.2 kit since the 2.4 has different demands.

I have found that the 2.4 stock injectors are 24#'s and with a little more than 70% increase i will be needing 44# injectors. I need to know what company makes injectors that are 44# and will be a direct replacment without having to change injector harnesses as i would like to utilize as many stock componants as possible. A link would be great if somone knows of injectors that fit this bill. thanks.

Also, i'm sure the stock spark plugs will not be good to keep so im looking for suggestions on what sprk plugs to go with, most likely iridium im thinking but someone chime in on this as well if you have a good suggestion.

Once i can get all this in line and confirmed for use i will be ordereing everything and having it installed at ASAP Performance in Allison Park, PA. A special HP Tuners guy will be coming in and dyno tuning my cars engine and automatic transmission.

I also need some specs on the 4T45E auto tranny, im going to attempt to tune the car to put out 250 wtq and equal or slightly lesser whp. thanks.

John @ alpine developments is willing to do a group buy on this if you all wanna save some money so let me know if there is a SERIOUS interest in this and i'll let him know, otherwise i'll be alone on this which is fine. i know how everyone here doesnt make a move until they see pictures videos dyno's and all that crap, but to me i know it will make the power i want so i dont need all that.

thanks in advance for all your guys help on this matter. id like to order as soon as im sure of everything i'll need.

Don't know if you are gonna find direct fit 44 lb injectors anywhere. Try and use the 42 lb from the stage kits.

Harnesses run $30-50 I'm sure you can afford it if you're buying a turbo.

Well i can probably afford a harness but ive seen injectors that fit directly for the 2.0 guys so i thought the 2.4 would have the same thing available.

I would recommend taking a trip over to a Solstice/Sky forum since they have already gone down this road...as where nobody with a 2.4 really has.

At the very least I'd think they could give you injector and plug recommendations...

From my understanding iridium plugs are garbage for F/I look into some NGK or Zex plugs

I have heard that the new Denso Iridiums are pretty good, but i have read some not so convincing things about previous types of iridium plugs

I am pretty sure that no matter what injectors you get for the 2.0 you need a new harness. When do you plan on buying it and heading over to ASAP. I wouldn't mind stopping over and taking a look while its being done.

BTW can't wait to run you at the next track day or meet

well i have the 2.4 not the 2.0 but we will see after i talk to some sky and solstice guys on what injectors they are using since they should be the same for me. but yeah ill let you know when the car is there if you wanna stop and see it or you can come when its getting dyno tuned as i will be there taping that. and track day should be a good run, im not sure if low 13's are gonna be my territiry or not but i sure hope so.

yuup yuup. and the people with the answers are selling the kits.

Not sure what math you used to figure out you need 44lb injectors, but i agree with everyone else, use the LSJ 42lb injectors+harnesses, that way your not alone with a 'special' setup.

Good talking with you man, just to fill you in Will told me that they ordered extra's to do a turbo kit on a sky and then something happened and so they have extra's so if they fit in the sky with no harness then you will be fine!

get me the serial numbers and brand name when you get them in next week

Psykostev0 says that the part # for the harness to adapt the 2.0 injectors to the 2.4 is:

It retails for $78.18 but GMPartsDirect sell them for $46.35.

cool, but i wanna ask will all that info before i pay for them just to cross reference that everythings cool before i shell out all that money. werks racing says they have some injectors that would work but again they gave no brand name or anyting so im waiting on that but im sure they are cool since werks racing makes turbo kits for the solstice. im still doing as much research as possible before dumping all my dough, ya know what i mean?

zex or ngk plugs would be a good thing to throw in. If your going to have to upgrade your injectors you might as well go with 50-60lb injectors.

can someone post a pic of the injectors and harness since i cant do that right now?

also i was told not to go too big on injectors more than i need for idling and drivability purposes so i wanna stay 42-44 size.

Here's a picture of the stock 34lb injectors off of a 2.0 ss/sc (from Canada), for a comparison. These siemens injectors are marked with the GM part#12790827.
