Fuel
yeah just an update on the 89 side of things. i drove home today (pittsburgh to Southern MD) and i get 33mpg avg. with sitting in a bit of DC traffic. I also got a damn ticket just before i got home.
Stock you will be able to get away with lower grade fuel, but once you start modding your car especially once you get a tune it requires higher octane all the time. The owners manual recommends 91 or higher but does not demand it. There is nothing else that can be added to this statement, because it is coming right from the manual.
And you're just talking about folks from here. We won't even get into the usual lamers you hear whining about gas prices - people who drive SUV's large enough to hold three generations of family and get 12 mpg.
I drive mostly city my average mpg is someware around 17-18 mpg I only fill up with 91 or 93. Ide say i drive harder than most but its not like im racing or driving excessivly over the speed limit all the time.
Can't afford premium?
It is like...at most...and I mean MOST...40 cents more than regular.
I think we have 12 gallon tanks...so that means most people fill up to 11 gallons...you are talking ******* four and a half more dollars.
Just say 'i'm a tight wad and bought an SS to look cool' instead
