gmpp review

I have an opportunity to get a gmpp intake for my 2.4... my plans for the car are to get i/h/e mm, tranny mounts, and eventually cams, but for the short term i/h/e and a tune. is this intake good enough for that? or should i just spend a lil more on the k&n or injen intakes?

the GM and K&N are almost the same except for the heat shield on the K&N.

gmpp intake is roughly a 5 hp gain. Mabie 7 if you change the filter to an aem dry flow.
I know this because i own one. It honestly felt like a nothing gain untill i put on the dry flow filter.

Do you have a part number for that aem dry flow? How well does it fit? Thanks

Um, are you kidding me? That is prolly the most ignorant thing I have ever heard! Changing the filter will do ABSOLUTLEY nothing, The GMPP comes with a K&N filter... so why would changing it to another high-flow dry filter gain more power!

Hmmmmmm

The GMPP does not come with a K&N filter (I have one). It come with a crappy paper one that doesn't hold up to well.

Im not for sure yet cause I havnt dynoed it but It pulls harder on the mid to low range and a lil harder on the high end. Def worth the money

Check out my vBGarage and you can see the exhaust from the mufler back.

Red does not = K&N.... They send you a foam sprayed cotton paper filter that is possably more restrictive than the stock pleated fiber cloth one

actually. Lewiss dyno'd his 2.4 automatic with the gmpp intake(but remember this is an auto)
i think his gains was 2.something horsepower and 0.something torque. lol. but i also have this intake. BUT! he added a custom ram air scoop over the airbox(mine is being painted) and then dyno'd it, and he gained 7hp/7tq alone, NOT including the gains from the intake.

Im planning on mounting a scoop behind the front grill area and ducting it back to the intake box in spring or if we get a day in the 40's some time soon.

I don't know about you guys but I can't find a GMPP CAI for even the same price let alone cheaper than the injen's in the group buy from our vendors at turbo tech racing link they're saying something like $275 shipped to CANADA!! my dealer wanted $420 for the GMPP and CED wants like $250 plus shipping
