gonna install a 2.8in pulley

Well like the title says I'll have my 2.8in pulley in today... should be arriving any minute now... wait I think I hear someone knocking........... nvm...... its just the wind

As most of yall might remember my h.e. took a crap on me and I'm running with just the stock lsj h.e. and dual pass. Do you think i will be fine running the 2.8 til I get a new h.e. or should I wait and get a new h.e. before I put it on.

oh and I will be hitting up the dyno on saturday with zdeuce 4 as well can't wait

You can do a 2.8 on 42's but I do prefer it to be on 60's.

A 2.8 will not create a HUGE amount of heat, you can get away with the stock h/e. It's always better to have cooling, but you can do it

Remember Dragonsfire12345 is a 2.4. The 2.8 and 42's is not going to work very well with the LE5. Might be ok on a 2.9 or 3.0, especially being in TX. But I can tell ya up here in the north where it gets cold, 60's are needed for 3.0 or smaller on the 2.4 with m62.

And Dragonsfire12345, I'd wait til you get the heat exchanger to put on the 2.8, unless you have meth. Good luck on the dyno btw!

If it's on the dyno. 1 h/e should be fine for a pull. Multie pulls will make loads of heat. And I votedto put the 2.8 on. Mine arrived on Wednesday. Installed same day. Trust me. 2.8 is awesome I get 15psi is 70* weather.

All stock internals. Stock rods, pistons, clutch, etc etc. My clutch slips if I go wot in a rpm less than 4k...but man is it worth it.

So we went to the dyno today, I made 226whp, and 198wtq. I had guessed 230whp, so my butt dyno was pretty close. Thats with the stock pulley, and not the 2.8in. so....... after we were done with the dyno, we all went to a friends house. Had some jello shots, and other very good drinks lol.... then me and a friend came to our senses and decided to put the 2.8 on. So we did, and now I'm at 14psi and it is alot of fun!!!!

For stock pulley thats pretty normal for a 2.4.

this is the result of not having cooling mods with your 2.8. you lose power every pull on the dyno lol
