Got a question about the balt? looking for some ideas.

Hey guys, my first time posting but I am having some difficulty with my 08 cobalt sport.

The problem: When driving and slowing down if you put the car into neutral to coast, the rpm's start going back up in and around the 1500 - 2000 rpm. It stays at that level until the car is completly stopped and will not do it if you are down shifting.

Just wondering if you guys have any idea what it could be or if you have expeirenced a problem like this before.

Thanks

i do have that problem too, most people clean the throttle body and the MAF sensor.
Some people clean them and it will go away some other will stay.
I got used to it, i put the car on gear and let the rpms go down and then put the can on neutral (mine is manual trans).

its pretty late in this lol but ive got an 06 with a five speed and every once in a while when i put it in neutral it goes up about 200 rpm. not much but its whatever. sometimes it could be something as simple as having the air conditioning on. that can effect the way the engine runs. (or rather heat now)
