handheld tuners

Does anyone know if any company is working on handheld tuners for our cars? I dont have a problem sending my ECU in for tunning but i think it would be alot easier to just do it yourself with the ability to revert back to stock settings for warranty purposes.

Superchips doesnt even have a CAN tuner right now on the market, I doubt the NA SS Cobalt would rank very highly with all the other CAN bus cash cows out there. We do however have ECM's available right now We also have new cores you can buy from us for less than the dealer would charge you or for a deposit you can swap cores with us

GTPprix, how hard is it to take out the ecm? and what is the return time.. Also I know that you guys raise the RPMS to 7000, should i have to worry about hurting the life of the auto tranny? or the engine?

Nah it'll be fine the solstice runs with a 7K limiter stock, the tranny is pretty decent for the amount of power these cars will make mildly modded. It's easy to take out the ECM, just three connectors and we turn it around the same day we recieve it.

Westers offer's a reflashed ecm also and a live flash for those of you that live in the dealers areas.

What about a 2 or 3 bar boosted tune for the E67- possible with your existing tools? (assuming the approriate harware and sensors etc.)
Just wondering...

Yeah, I second that! I am looking to put a turbo on my 2.4L and would definitely want the 2 bar tune... Heard it can be done on the LS series.

Where did you hear this from?

I live near Superchips actually and I asked if they would use my car for testing for making a module for the 2.4L VVT engine. Talking to them directly on the phone and via email they have the ability to do it since the new engine software they have supports this engine as well, but they have no plans at this time to make one.

yeah no switch which sucks cuz it flys without t/c on, one time it turned itself off when i was in drive on the parkway and the car had alot more *****, it was very noticable that t/c is robbing power constantly

I'm looking to get a hand held tuner because I want to easily be able to switch between stock and tuned for when I do SCCA races since I race in C-Stock which doesn't permit ECU tuning.
