normally i would agree, but since they are all stereotypical failure parts on a cobalt. usually not really much in depth diagnosis required.

Thanks guys. Never had to deal with sensors and codes before. Already replaced thermostat. $75 at GM here in Canada!!! What's a good online place that ships to Canada?

The purge valve is most likely fine, if it was bad it would have a flow during non purge code.
I would guess it's either a vent solenoid and possibly a gas cap if it feels weird when you tighten it or if the seal is cracked.

MAF and IAT codes could be broken wires at the connector, sometimes they break inside the insulation and it's hard to find them

Ok. I'll check on those things. I always knew that if the cap wasn't tight it would code. But never thought that a cap could go bad.

Went to Canadian Tire to check prices. The MAF is $125(not even AC delco). Ugh! Our prices suck

Dont use an off brand maf, use a GM brand only, ACDELCO is oem GM reason why i suggested it. If you want we can work something else i can order it for you or something from the states and ship it to you. Problem with using off brand sensor products like MAF's is that the calibration might not match what the computer is programmed for on cheap aftermarket replacements.

I agree completely. I was only there comparing prices to those of the states. I am very specific to using factory pieces for certain repairs. Just like the thermostat. Boy did I catch a lot of heat on another forum for paying so much. I simply said I would not go bargain store on my thermo. And, what can I say, $75 is what it costs in Canada.

I like your idea a lot. Not everyday a stranger will offer to do such a deed. Forgive me, but why? I may just take you up on that. So long as it doesnt pose a bug hassle for you.

As long as you cover all the costs its no big deal to me, i frequently have to drop packages off to UPS or USPS all the time so I can just drop yours off as well to help you out. Just shoot me a pm if you need help. lol ive helped alot of people out who are in a bind.

although to be honest 54 bucks here in the states, then shipping to me, then shipping to canada will probably wind up costing the same

Are you able to add "friends" on this site? If so, how? Maybe I need to be on my desktop and not my iPhone.

So, I changed my int and ext sensors. Thanks LS6Rally.
Is it possible that changing those would solve the other codes? Cause I'm not getting any CEL now. That's probably just a pipe dream.

Typically no, there are a certain number of parameters that need to be met to turn a code on, changing the VVT int and exhaust solenoids if you didnt have a code for them wouldnt really change anything. The maf code you threw is classic "replace the maf" type codes.

Yes I know. But find it weird that my CEL and T/C lights are out now. My shifts are also soo much smoother. Which I was told would happen. I have to admit. I miss the punchy shifts.

lol hptuners can easily bring those punchy shifts back, odd that you wouldnt throw a code for the VVT solenoids.

I figured, that because I disconnected my battery to reset the sensor codes after changing, that the other codes would eventually come back. But after 3 days of driving, my ugly lights are still off.
