High Idle after routine maintence
slash- My stuff started doing it again! :-( i am going to replace the mass air flow sensor today to see if that helps anything out. with all the snow and water i have here in MN it is possible i sucked up a little water and is throwing the MAF off and causing it to idle higher than normal. I will keep you all posted on if it fixes or not.
PS. right now i am driving around with a code reader in my car haha everytime i pull up to a stop light or sign i have to clear the code or else it stalls and stuff! haha

I'm going to take mine to a dealership just to get checked. If you are under80k miles, i recommend you do the same. The emissions warranty pays for all emissions-related parts. They seem to think I need a new PCM, which is covered, as well as all labor and services.
Alright. Just got back from the dealership. PCM was recalled. I recommend you take your cars in and get them checked. Mine is getting replaced Monday. I don't seem to be able to find the TSB on it, but they showed me the file and said it was covered. Its getting fixed, then finally being sold. I have thrown away thousands into this car because of that PCM. double insurance, double car payments, all the diagnostic fees and various parts. This could have all been avoided had the blankety-blanking lot I bought it from actually fixed it when they had it. Shouldn't have sold a car with outstanding recalls.
I just had this problem, but im going to school for automotive, and i was talking to the GM teacher, and we just reflashed the pcm and the problem went away. We figured out that when you force open the throttle blade, the TAC module relearns the open throttle body, and defaults to that setting. If you have access to GM SI2000, the gm service site, i read the throttle relearn procedure, which is idle for 3 minutes, key off for 1 minute, and repeat 3 times. This didnt work for me, so the last fix was a reflash. The problem went away.
guys it is the pcm, the problem is that the system for whatever reason doesn't relearn even after manually relearning the idle. if you reflash it with the same calibration it will not work. if you flash it with an over write like you would for a brand new pcm it will work, if you flash it with the alternate injector flash (grey if you have blue, and blue if you have grey injectors) and then flash back to the proper settings it will work. that's why replacing the pcm works
UPDATE: it is perfect. Like a brand new car. Clutch is slipping a tad, but I can deal with not launching or WOT pulls. I don't think they did a relearn. I have yet to do the relearn myself yet, but I'll get to it. Shifts are great now and it has no high idle. Definitely check into this if you have any issues.
I had the same issue after a BG throttle body clean. After tons of diagnostics and tests on everything from the pedal to the maf, I had vector motor sports (where I got my tune) flash my PCM back to the latest stock version of the software, then they loaded the tune again. After the flash, it was fine. The cleaners seem to totally eff up the pcms.
