VENTS?????

Nice car! : Is there anything you liked about the SS you miss in the new car? I would have trouble giving up a modern car for an older muscle car any more, but a late-model Camaro or Firebird, now that would be no hardship at all!

Personally, I'd miss the warranty (although it's about to be tossed out the window doe to mods). And the back seat...

really wasn't looking for it .. saw it and it was so sweet i made the mistake of taking it for a ride (poor salesman heehee)

only thing i miss is the heated seats .. but hey mines power now for all the times i move it

only 37K on it and put a 3 year bumper to bumper on it and it covers the SLP stage 3

the back seat is about the same as the balt not that i need it

as for the rest lets see
a LOT faster (mid to low 12s for now)
better ride
not sure about the handling yet still sandy roads
payments are the same and inurance is the same
teaching my 16 year old twin daughters to drive an M6 PRICELESS (well the price of a new clutch on top of that)

so yes till the new camaro comes out in a ragtop or something else i will keep this

Coming from a previous 4th gen owner and having my BEST friend owning an 00 SS with 37K miles on it, i agree/disagree with some of your points but congratulations on a GREAT car choice.

The back seat is not even in the ballpark of the cobalts. No contest, no argument, period. One of the biggest dissapointments for me with the 4th gen fbods is the back seats.

But i will agree that your car is waaaay faster than pretty much any cobalt on this site. LS1s are monsters even stock, so i cant even fathom a stage 3. That thing must be a beast.

The ride quality of any fbod from my experience is usually a crapshoot, meaning that sometimes there good and sometimes there AWFUL. Your car looks pretty clean so i imagine your probably right.

Fbodys don't have a great reputatoin for handling, but considering your car is an SS with stage 3, then i imagine there are some significant suspension upgrades that could potentially surpass a cobalt even in the twisties.

Sorry to attack your thread, i know your excited about your awesome (very very awesome) car, but dont let it mess with your head

I look forward to seeing some track numbers from that beast!

The suspension was all upgraded to independently adjustable by SLP. I will add bilstein shocks to it in the spring.

I dont use the back seat at all. My wife won't fool around in the car anyway and my g/f has no room to use the whip and chains in any car

thinking of a 150 shot over a charger ... but not sure yet a few things i wanna do first ... dye top black (its tan the only thing i didn't like) ... tint windows ... urathane mounts all around and maybe old SS stripes in silver ( up in the air about that)
