you can run any amount of boost safely, as long as you build the engine properly. if you're asking about leaving it stock, not a whole lot. but it give great gains and is well worth it.

Hahn has boosted a Sol up to 22psi on the stock bottom end. But the tuning plays a very importent role, along with the grade of gas you run. If you do not know much about this subject I would have someone else do this for you.

I've got 9lbs now. Beck has 9psi. Celicacobalt has around 7psi I think. I think what you are asking is whatkind of HP level can the 2.4 take before it ***** the bed on stock internals. In that case...I'd say 350 crank hp.

We all have roughly the same hp, +/- 20hp

it all depends on the turbo that you choose or supercharger

10psi from a T25 is not the same as 10psi from a.....T76, lol

it all depends...if I were running just an avg. size T3 Super 60 I'd probably run ~10psi daily...

I am leaving the stock pistons in the engine. And have already researched my entire turbo setup from start to finish.

But havnt researched the correct amount of boost. Im already running three pounds of boost out of

an electric supercharger which has givin me atleast thirty horse. But thats not enough for me.

If you had even the slightest idea of what you're asking us.. you'd have told us what turbocharger you want to run.

oh my god. you have alot more research to do. please go out and read a book before you attempt to install a turbo kit on your car.

first off talk to somone who has turboed a 2.4 and you will see its not for the average joe who has read greddy's 101-103 topic on turbocharging, go buy a book called maximum boost, read it, then go research into it more and more and more...

yeah and i bought some nos octane boost from ukrainine tire, says itll boost my octane 7 points!!! if im not mistaken thats 70 more horsepowa rite!!?!?!!!

Believe it or not. My car went from a 16.0 second quarter mile to a 15.3. Just with that little supercharger. It only cost me 100 bucks. Its only temporary till i get the real thing. Those stock air boxes are way restrictive. Ha Ha

well thats very intresting because my ran 15.46 right outa the box? so perhaps you didnt know how to drive your car when you first went and then your acctualy learned? there is things called "bad track days or off days" i ran 15.46 stock and ran a highest of 15.6 with my intake in...does that make sense? no...but my trap went up from 86-96..again does that make sense? noo...

and a 30 horsepower increase would land you 15.0-15.2

Mine is an atomatic so its not gonna run a 15.4 bone stock thats for sure. It did give me quite a bit down low but not as much up top. I have raced a SC/SS and im right next to one. So I think it helped out alot considering my car is a 2.4L atoumatic. And i havnt done anything else to my car other than that cheap little supercharger.

ok.... I was with you, I have to be honest, I had a bit of an underdog thing going for ya so far, until I read that you put an electric supercharger and rolled with a ss/sc. I have a 2.4 and I've nothing but **** from all my ss/sc buddies forever and I've been doing my best to be able to roll with them, and the mods I have (not many, but a LOT more than you...) probably give me more hp and I can't hang with them yet. So.....

PICS OR BAN! PICS OR BAN! (begin chant here...)

edit: omg....an0malous = forum ninja. The d00d replies to like 100 posts in the time it takes me to scroll to the bottom of the page. lolz

in answer to the question, boost isn't EXACTLY a good thing, higher boost does not mean more power, in fact, in a way it means less of it.

to think of it another way, i'd rather have a well running engine at 3psi than a **** one at 14.

LOL its a leaf blower with a 12v=>120v power converter. That might have a chance at boosting it a little. Funny thing that there is a vid of someone using one on a truck while on a dyno. They have U-tube blocked at work, I'll try and find it tonight. Makes you wonder though. Anyone feel like building a 1500 watt motor to put onto a centrifugal supercharger

you can always swap to a smaller pulley on your electric supercharger and that will spin it faster thus creating more boost.
