they're both rated at 173 crank HP though

i've never heard of them having a different intake mani, but I just looked it up and you're right
where can we find details about this?

Yeah, but what they're rated at and what they'll actually put down on a dyno are two different things. All cars dyno differently regardless, even if they are the same car, same model and same year. But its a fact that the '08s typically dyno about 10whp more than the '06-'07's on the same type dyno.

i'd like to see two dyno'ed back to back on the same dyno....different dynos are calibrated different and spit out different numbers regardless if its the same ie. mustang/dynojet etc.

Yeah. For a while I thought the LE5 Cobalt community was never gonna take off. I remember back in the day when I first got my car.....the second month I owned it I lowered it, put a full exhaust, intake, springs, torque damper, strut bar........back at that time (late '06) it was rare to see a 2.4SS with ANYTHING done to it. I remember for the longest time I was like 1 of 3 members I knew of to even have a full exhaust, lol. Times have changed. We're still the ugly duckling of the Cobalt community, but we have an interesting little group none the less.

i think the 2.4 eco is the motor with the most potential still.. Ive had my car for a yr last month and it looks and feels completely different. i went from last place at a car show in "street" to getting 3rd in "mild" this yr.. The car has soooo much potential as well as the motor.. i cant wait for my cams to arrive..if they at least meat my expectations ill be satisfied.

I feel you but get custom cams from CompCams or something and they would be cheaper too, i am sure. I am sure there are people out there willing to help out. I am more then likely going to head done that road but all in time, I need to get married first (next june) and get a higher paying job.

i have these cams sitting with a extra head to get a mild build and with all this talk going on i dunno if i even want to use them. I just wish i had someone to vouch for these because my car is my DD for now, don't wanna put them in then have something happen and the car be down for a while.

When installed correctly people have no porblems with them. The first guy that used them had them installed incorrectly, mis-timed i believe, and messed his valvetrain up. People then began bashing the cams. Talk to cobeezy he's the most active member with them and has a built head as well.

see thats what i thought when i first got them and then i got an extra head to build. I know a friend through a friend that i just recently met and was thinking about just throwing them into the stock head in the car for now. At the end of summer i wanna do a build but that a whole other story because i have no clue if i want to go sc or turbo or even maybe na, and i think that guy you just referenced me to used the cams with the sc, but i thought stock cams were better for f/i.

So in the end i dunno what the hell i'm doing yet ha
