New engine. Minor variations in piston rings or walls. It happens and is just a precaution...I mean I don't know how much it would change under boost. Its a more 'just in case' thing.

Is the 2.4 liter a good tuner engine? Would it be able to compete with srt-4s if sufficient mods were placed on it?

its a great engine, it just needs a turbo kit then srt's will be no problem

yeah, go with the turbo kit intake and exaust. I thought they had a header for the 2.4. let me know.

you could always twincharge it!

well supercharging isnt gonna beat the srt's turbo will make more power anyday
