Hey there iceman thats cool that your enjoying your bolt I got a 2.4 too and love it! Any plans on modding it? The performance exhaust was the first thing I did and let me tell you she goes much faster once the stock exhaust is off....

Welcome to the neighborhood! We have to stick together, the ss/sc guys get all jealous as they know the 2.4 has the ability to be quicker for less than the sticker difference..

Manual - 28 Hwy, about 19 City? I average about 23/24 with a 25 mile commute, half city/half highway ever day.
Edit - I have gotten up to around 32, 33 highway if I just cruise at 70 on a straight road.. I drive fast/zippy typically.

Welcome, I just got mine at the turn of the new year.
I have a manuall tranny i manage 30-32 mpg (on a no traffic day) with a 22 mile commute of 18 miles highway (15 minuts) and 4 miles city (10 minuts).
At first I was getting like 19 mpg but then i improved with more economical driving. Untill i become more familiar with my car, i will wait untill i open her up.
I thought I would be getting more, but its on par with my old 2.2 cavalier and it has 60 more horsepower.

hey welcome. i also have the 2.4l and i love it. its so much fun to drive and the pull on the car is nice. also the power is there its not like you have to rev the car up to get power hit the gas and its there. i just dynoed mine and it did 153hp and 151 torque. all to the wheels. and yes its kinda hard keeping it under 80 at times haha.

Lord knows I love my 2.4L.
In addition to an Intake and exhaust. I recommend you get it tuned by someone with HPtuners, especially if you have an auto trans.
Also run a couple of High octane tanks of gas through there. (91+)
I use 93 octance and I don't care what some of these douchbags say, it runs better and harder on the expensive go juice.

Welcome, O new one. I too worship at the altar of vvt. My humble charriot gets from 28-31miles per bucket of oats when I whip the horses, circa 26 miles per bucket when my wife spurs them on. Verily, my spouse has a heavy whip hand, and she doth enjoy flogging her ponies mightily.
Verily, allowing thy steeds to breathe and poop freely will enable them to pull thy charriot with great vigor. After this fete is accomplished, thou mayest petition the great oracles of Westers, Vectors or a local priest of the hp tuner faith, and pray they work their majik on thy holy of holies.
In other words, dude, get the ECM/TCM tune after the I/H/E (don't forget the b-pipe as it's the most restrictive part) so they can tune it for your mods.
