Injen intake full or short?
Injen intake full or short?
Hey,
Was wondering if there is a difference with having the Injen intake kept short or put it back to the full thing? Does one or the other have any better gains, lower or higher? I forget if the sound was different between the two setups as well? And being full would it collect dirt and debris easier being in the wheel well then being in the short setup?
How can I tell when a new filter is needed?
thanks.

You need to run the cold air set up (full). Running it short will only succeed in sucking in hot air which will hurt power. As far as the filter goes its gonna get dirty regardless. The injen filters you can rinse out if they become caked with dirt. You should also invest in a hydroshield as well. You'll protect moister from hurting the MAF sensor and or getting into the motor.
Depends on what type of power u want. Short ram equals low rpm power with the hotter air and less bends. Cold air equals high rpm power with the air being more dense. Personally i go with cold air (full) because when racing I'm always above 4grand. And if I remember when I had mine the short setup was a bit louder.
