new to the cobalt

so im very new to the cobalt but not chevy. my last truck ( colorado ) i had a full wideband tune and computer remapped and all that fun jazz. just have a few questions. do the 2.4L automatics have torque managment, will the LS4 throttle body fit these motors, is there a cat in the exhaust manifold, does anyone make a 3200 rpm stall for these things, will i be able to fit 225/45-17 on the stock ss wheels and not rub, does anyone make cams for this motor? i think this is all my little messed up mind can think of. lol all help would be awesome

well. are u talking the cobalt ss naturally aspirated model? thos ehave 17 inch wheels. the ss supercharged and turbo have 18's. on the 18's i have, i have 225/45/18's on my car. the first number is width of the tire. the 45 is size of the sidewall, somehow measured by the width ha. its like a percentage or something idk. but the 45 is size of sidewall and obv 17 is the wheel size. so i think 225/45/17 would be just as easily done as the 225/45/18's on my car. as far as the other stuff. no clue

as far as TB you dont need the LS4 you can get the adapter and just run the LSJ TB. there is a cat on the downpipe. and for the 08 sport there are 2. you can fit those tires on the stock ss/na wheels. and cams are made by ZZP. thats all i know.

I'm pretty sure he said he has a 2.4 automatic, and said he has 17 inch wheels. So I'd assume he has a SS/NA Automatic with 17 inch wheels. Soo not sure why you're asking what car he has.

225/45-17 is a tenth of an inch taller then the stock 205/50-17, what im worried about is width. and just so you know the first number which is width ( 225 ) is measured in centimeters, second number is height ( 45 ) is the percentage of width in height of the sidewall. but if 225/45-18 are stock on turboed cars then i wont have a problem. just looking for better gripping action when i have to get new tires lol

These are preatty good cars to mod. The lsj tb is a better option and I believe easier to instal. Not sure if it requires a tune after this. If you wanna make good power then you should either turbo or supercharge. you can get both kits at zzp.

yes you have torque management, you can get rid of it with a hp or trifecta tune. this also includes your pcm being remapped for more power (wideband tune), also as already stated lsj tb is a good mod but only use the ls4 if your going sc or snail. tires will fit fine and yes zzperformance makes cams for the le5.

I have 225/45/17s, they look sweet. No issues rubbing or anything like that.
