haha well i have heard a lot of in stock issues with the header, and i am hoping that the sound will be ok with the stock cat-back. also some minor install issues with the header also. but the other two parts i am not worried about.

Can someone post the part # of the AEM dryflow filter or another dry filter option that will fit the K&N typhoon please?

Well just get a cat-back when you get the header.

The bigest hangup about k&n is the oil and the mass air sensor. I have used k&n in every mustang ive had thing is when i washed them i never used the oil dont realy see the point in the oil

The oil is what stops fine debris from getting through the filter! lol. Your unoiled filter is running at about 20% efficiency without the oil......K&N clearly explains not to use the filters unoiled in their pamphlets that come in the box. Oh, and it only messes up sensors if the filter is over oiled......which is completely user error.

I've got the K&N Typhoon and it's just sick. I bought mine at muscleexhaust.com for around 250. Most other places that i've looked at sell them for over 300 so def check that out

Some of the supporting vendors sell them for about $250-$260.

For anyone who is tight on a budget Spectre lets you build your own CAI with all the parts to let you place the cone filter anywhere you want. I have one and it works great. All parts together it cost me about 115 dollars at Pep Boys.

I just installed my K&N Typhoon SRI today. (purchased from TTR--fast shipping!)

Holy ****, it sounds and feels awesome. None of the youtube videos do it justice. It makes the engine sound sooooo nice. Intake on 2.4 FTW! Megan exhaust comes next.

Are there any dyno results out for the Rebel Autoworxs CAI on the 2.4?

I've seen a few combined with other mods on SS/SC, but can't seem to find one for a 2.4

Its alright. The dryflow filter sucks when it gets wet though. Not the best intake when its rainy........

yeah the K&N is a great intake and fits well. I still love the sound it makes and I have had it for a month or two now.

In reality it probably only adds 5-10 hp. If you do a quick search on the k&n intake for the 2.4L you'll quite a few. I wonder if anyone has ever put their car on a dyno after putting just the intake on.

If I put a K&N filter on my GMPP intake, will it really make any difference? lol.

Well, with the K&N filter you'll only have to clean it and re-oil it every now and then. With the GMPP filter, being as its a cotton filter, you'll have to replace the entire filter every now and then. So overall, the K&N filter could end up saving you money in the long haul.
