Jet Performance Stage 1 Vs Stage 2 Runs
I made it to the dragstrip finally to attempt to show the difference with the Jet Performance Modules. 1/8th mile track temperature was hot...81+ degrees, 8-17 knot headwind, high humidity. I wanted to make at least 6 runs -- 2 with the stage 2 module, 2 with the stage 1 module and 2 without the module. Unfortunately a Nova blew it's transmission at half track and closed the dragstrip for over an hour. Time trials closed for racing so I wasn't able to get but 2 trial runs in -- first with the stage 2 module since I already drove it there with it in. Then when I realized I could only get one more run I went ahead and put in the stage 1 module. Kind of a wierd feeling to change out a module and pick up 3 tenths in the 1/8 mile.
Run with Jet performance Stage 2 module was a 10.076 @ 72.07
Run with Jet Performance Stage 1 module installed was 10.308 @ 71.11

Notice the difference in time at the bottom of the time slips -- due to tranny fluid having to be cleaned up.
I'm pretty confident I could have gotten in the 9s with cooler temperatures and by taking out the spare and TTR sway bar...and losing some weight myself
My reaction time sucked too -- first time I've had the Cobalt on a track. 60-foot time was 2.41 -- I don't think that's too bad with an automatic. Going to have to learn to "hammer" it before the last yellow light.
I have pics...digital camera died but picked up an instant camera -- have to wait for developement.
With Auto tranny my Cobalt shifted into 3rd just as I crossed the 1/8th finish line! 70 MPH top of 2nd

The tone of the exhaust sounds different with the stage 2 module too...deeper and "raspier". Can really tell the difference after coming off the line -- with the stage 2 module the car felt quicker after the initial jump. Both modules felt the same to me in 2nd...the car shifted into 3rd as I crossed the finish line with both modules.
