Hi guys, been lurking for a long time.
I was looking for an SS/SC Cobalt. Right now I have an Orange 2.4 automatic. I found a car on the Atlanta Craigslist:

I emailed for pics, (they put them up after I asked) and, wdf?
She gave me the VIN. I ran it, it's a 2.4. BUT, she says that it is a manual. I thought that you could only get an SS manual if it was SC. Even though the pic of the interior, if you look close, looks like an automatic with a boot and new head on it...
So, help me out here guys...is this possible, or am I getting fed BS?

nope thats the same car you have except with a five speed. its an option on the ss/na to get the auto tranny.

 

the ss/sc ONLY comes in stick
the 2.4ss can come either stick/auto.

ok, thanks guys, I'm and idiot, and I guess I'm going to go talk to the seller. they only want 12k for it.

 

yeah 2.0s dont come with auto and its not an option. only 2.4s and 2.2s with auto and stick.

yeah good luck, mod that 2.4 already gosh we have to catch up to the 2.0s

Yeah weird. it does look like an auto with the 5speed shifter knob on it, and that clutch pedal. I have an 06 2.4 with the manual and my shifter bezel isn't as longated as that one
