Hey, does anyone know the sizes of the pipes for the 2.4? I want to get a flowmaster or something, but I need to know the size I need first. Also, has anyone heard any aftermarket mufflers on one of these cars yet? I want something agressive, but not buzzy or really bassy. Just agressive, maybe a little pop and crackle on deceleration. Thanks alot.

 

same muffler as the 2.0L S/C, no difference. but no, I don;t know the sizes

 

my guess is both the 2.4 ss and the ss/sc are either 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 , id say its closer to the 2 1/4 then the 2 1/2


the ss/sc does have a larger down pipe from the manifold going into the cat , then the 2.4 does

 

2.4's downpipe looks huge. it is 2 1/2 or 2 1/4.

 

the pipe used to go from the cat back is using 2.25" piping I believe. The pipe from the down pipe to the cat is using slightly larger piping I think. 2.5". Again don't quote me on this but when I ripped out the piping and put a 3" exhaust from the cat back it seemed only 2 and a quarter inch thick.
