Need more info on B&M Shift Plus

Hey guys, looking at a B&M Shift Plus for the 07' 2.4L.

How is it installed, and will it void the factory warranty?

BTW, i did search and read the install article on the 2.2L engine, but the wires might be different on the 2.4L '07s.

Has anyone even done this install on the 2.4?

My only other main concern is warranty. I would install it with some sort of quick disconnect, so it could be removed for warranty work, but will it void any warranties if left installed? I would only run it on Stage 1...

the install is easy i wired it up for a buddy with a 2.4 theres just 2 wires on the shift plus..he loves it.. as fair as the warranty well thats just like any dealership it will depend on the one you go to..

they cant void the warranty on the hole car at most they would try and do is the tranny and then they would still have to prove that the shift plus cause the problem

Trust me its orange. I did it on my car. Theres one orange. Its a great addon people get scared it slams like that, trust me its actually good for our cars. One thing I will tell you. If you want to switch it to one, two, or off. You must have the car turned off. Nothing bad will happen if you try to in drive, it just wont work.

I have an 07 Coablt 2.4 SS sedan and I have this mod. I can tell you its well worth it and very easy to install. The wires DO change color in late 2006 I believe. The black wirre gets taped into the blue (I think) wire and the red to the orange wire. Its an easy mod that if your worried about the dealer giving you grief over it can be removed and they'd have to HUNT to find where it had been installed at all.

Jack wheres yours hidden? Mines in the console behind the door, on the left side of the wheel. Its hidden nicely along with my old sunglasses and some other random items.

I mounted the box under the dash with double sided tape and placed the switch under the steering column where it meets the dash. I ran the wires thru the rubber plug in the fire wall and under the fuse box and ABS modual and hard wired it in so as to not use those horrid wire taps. Then where the wire was visible it was covered in that black plastic shield and it blends right in with the factory stuff. Totaly stealth!

The only issue I have with it is it kicks in that damn traction control at times.

I would replace the wire taps with some other connection like butt connectors or male/female connectors.
