Before anyone jumps to any conclusions, no, I didn't do something stupid... lol.


Here's the story.

I bought a spare LE5 engine with the intent of building it from the ground up. I have it completely stripped down right now, and I am sending the head off to be ported and polished shortly. After giving the pistons a once over, I noticed a couple of the rings are cracked, and need to be replaced.

If anyone knows the part number, or where to find piston rings for an LE5, I'd greatly appreciate the help.

I'll take pictures of the stipped down engine if anyone wants to see it.

P.S. : I'm also looking for forged pistons, and better rods, so if anyone knows who makes some, let me know!

 

eagle rods can make custom rod's for u and weisco has pistons for our car both are a little pricey

 

I have the 8.8:1 wiseco pistons and the Carrillo rods. Pistons i believe were 500 and rods were like 1k.
