Just found this site and I'm lovin it already! I've got an 06 2.4 N/A 2 door. I have cold air, but since I just got married money is slow coming for the exhaust. But... I'm looking to get the best sound out of my pipes. Hopefully a little throatier than they sound but not too whiney. I realize this is a lot to ask out of a 4 cyl. but what the hell. Any suggestions??

want a deeper sound? dont do the exhaust, do headers and downpipe only. from there see if you like it or not, and then proceed to cat back

GMP Exhaust. Best sounding exhaust for LSJs.

Remove the resonator and your set

 

the GMPP and magnaflow exhausts both sound great. Corsa sound nice but is pretty expensive.

 

GMP may be great for LSJ, but OP has an 06 SS 2.4 N/A, which is a LE5.

gmpp touring for le5 sounds just fine.

 

I had a vibrant header w/ cat and magnaflow 2.5in exhaust. It was deep and loud-ish but not too bad. Noticed most performance gains from the header and tuning there after. Goodluck with your 2.4!

Thanks for the suggestions! I just got iut of Air Force basic training so its good to be back on the site and see what you have all done. Hopefully I can get some work done sooner than later
