Next Mod...?
So this paycheck coming up is a freebee-no insurence/no car payment, so i figure i will treat my car like i do everything i have extra money and buy her something,
So far i got Tint/SRI KN Intake/Interior Neons and some paint mods.
I only got between 0-200 bucks to spend..so here are some of my options
TWM Short Shifter-139.99
Ingalls-129.99 (around there)
CA Header-200
Downpipe-100-150
Projector halos-140
or...
New Shoes-120
Any suggestions or other ideas??

o ok i didnt no you were 2.4 i didnt pay attention to your sig cuz i say ingalls up there. but you could try the short shifter of ebay like black07ls said and get the halos. as another possibility
I think all the ebay, Pclear and Casmo shifters are the same.

The Ingalls ETD fits the 2.4SS no problem, but it won't fit with your K&N SRI. It will only fit if you have a CAI like the AEM, Injen or Rebel Autoworx. I have it on my 2.4 along with an AEM CAI. The heatshield and/or filter of your K&N will hit the Ingalls engine torque damper.
Don't waste your money on a header or downpipe unless you can do them both at once. Makes installation MUUUUCH easier if you just do all your exhaust components at once. I say save up and do a header, downpipe and cat-back all at once. Its what I did, and when talking to fellow Cobalt owners in my area, they wish they had saved themselves the headache and just waited to buy it and install it all at once rather than going under the car 3 seperate times and doing it piece by piece.
If you want a short shifter, I say TWM. I have it, and I love it! The satin aluminum shift knob feels and looks great, and your shifts will be much smoother and more direct feeling, as well as shorter (well duh). Its a bit more pricey, but TWM is a very reputable brand. I can't really say good or bad things about Cosmo, but I will say this. I've been into the sport compact scene a good while (had an '88 RX-7, an '03 Accord V6, and a '97 M3 before the SS), and worked on everything from JDM rides, to Euros, and now domestics, and i've never even heard of a brand called "Cosmo" making shifters. Plus, its engineered for a Cavi.....while it might fit, id go for the shifter with firm R&D backing behind the 2.4SS/G5 GT directly. But like I said, thats just my two cents concerning a shifter.
So all in all, the Ingalls won't work with your intake, I say hold off on a header/downpipe and just do all your exhaust stuff at once...........so get the TWM short shifter next! Trust me, you won't be dissapointed!

i think i am leaning towards the shrot shifter or buying my sister a ingalls..
shes a super lady!
If you want super short shifts go with TWM. If you want shorter than stock shifts and save $$$ for more mods go with ebay. I've never seen a TWM but would assume the shifts are shorter because you have to cut the base for clearance. You do not have to cut for cav. shifter, but the lower pivot points are longer than stock making the shifts shorter. The ebay shifter is made well. I had one in my cav. and have one in my 'balt.
