Oil Pressure Too Low?
I am concerned about my oil pressure gauge reading 5 psi idle after the engine is at normal operating temps. It seems fine at other times.

Where is your sending unit located?
On the cylinder head? Cylinder head pressure is half (or lower) than block pressure.
Where did you get your power lead from? If it is not full 12 volts your reading will change.
Only factory spec is to have 50 PSI minimum @1000 RPM Block oil pressure.

10lbs / 1K RPM is ideal presssure. So if you are ideling at 650 RPM 6.5lbs is enough. Oil pressure should never exceed 80psi. If it does you are likely to have other failures such as oil filter, bypass valve and pump gear failure.
Not enough is not good, but too much is worse.
