After installed, did ANY of you throw CELS? did anything seem to clear them up? i have a diagnostic tool at home so i can turn mine off if it throws one just curious thats all. i think its a bit of an urban myth. JUST VOTE! haha
um, i wouldn't go with the k&n...if i were u AEM dryflow. I custom made a k&n Short Ram Intake, and no, no codes. Once n a while I might, but it goes away in like 15-20 minutes. Dryflow is alot better bc no oil... just a though. If u get a dryflow filter, get a hydro shield, it's just a nylon cover that goes over it.

your problem is the oil from the filter is ******* up the mass air flow sensor
Unless you severely over-oil it, there's no reason for it to mess up the Mass Air flow sensor. I have zero problems with mine.......but when the filter gets dirty I'll just buy a new one.....I hate oiling those things.
um no. where i come from, an intake is based on the most important part...the filter. i put the pipes together from pep boys, and then slapped on a K&N filter. Hence, K&N intake. The piping means nothing. Whats the diff between what I have compared to anyone else? I have rubber couplets and plastic ones while others have a solid pipe. Only difference, other than the filter. Oh, n I made a breather for the SAI. And drilled my own MAF sensor hole. My pipe is the same size as everyone elses too. There is an old pic in my gallery of it with the **** filter i had on it until I had enough money to buy the K&N.

well, it has few bends in it, heat shield used to b on. i took it off. it was too much of a pain in the ass and a hastle. however, it's smooth, and has few bends in it. fewer bends = less restriction = more hp. if u think about it, makes sense. i been around cars for a long time now. I added my intake with an SAI before I even knew what an SAI was, and WAY before anyone else even thought about doing it. I mean, if I had known it was such a hastle, I woulda helped everyone summer of 06 when I bought my car and through the intake on. lol. All I meant by the piping statement is that, the filter is the most important. People use PVC pipe for intakes here. I seen 'em. Ghetto, but it works.
