Hey guys, I have a 2.2 cobalt, and I bought a 2.4 Throttle body. But i think i bought one from an 06. Could anyone who has an 07 2.4 cobalt PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE talk a picture of the wire harness that the throttle body clips into, and the throttle body itself.

that shows eight wires his tb has six. looks like so far you're outta luck. next time i'm out i'm gonna head to the chevy dealer and peak under the hood of a cobalt sport.

 

News flash....the 08 2.4L uses a different TB then the 06/07 2.4L TB. What are you looking for in particuler? My camera is no good at close-up shots.....

 

Im putting a 2.4 throttle body on my car and the one i bought has 8 pins on the harness, but MY harness has 6 pins.

 

I'm holding an '06 2.4L throttle body in my hand right now and it has 8 pins too.

On my 07 SS/NA the wiring harness has 8 wires going to the 8-pin throttle body too.

 

thanks for the news flash, but i'm hoping you're right and the sport tb is the six pin like rider needs.

I am wondering how the hell you could do that tune without them having the car. These canned tunes FTL! I mean I can see some of this mail order thing being useful with sending logs back and forth and ****, but damn, these 2.2 guys are going wayyyyy out of their way to break into the 17s.

Im in the 13s. And i LAUGH when i pull up to a 2.4. So lets not start a 2.2 flame war. Cause none of you are beating me. So get real. And ill be in the 12s come spring. So maybe you should watch what you say before you start blabbing ur mouths.

 

try getting there without nitrous... temporary power FTL.

 

Turbo coming next month. And btw the temporary power is amazing. I get awesome gas mileage when im daily driving, and when i decide to race i have the speed. 13.6@99 ftl when ur running a turbo. lol.

i enjoy the lack of love from one conalt model to the next. it's like a family of little kids all trying to one up each other. i figured being cobalt owners we could mod the cars we owned and help each other in the process but some of the members here prove otherwise.
