Question about tranny cooler?
what's up everyone....just wondering what tranny cooler would anybody recommend? Also i never got a tranny temp gauge to work in my car. Does anyone have the dashhawk and is there really a tranny temp gauge on that? Just wondering because i am going to start gathering all my supercharger swap parts and wanted my tranny to be all squared away first. thanks everyone.

I can check on the Dashhawk thing, but won't be till tomorrow evening. As you can see the Sport is the girls ride, and she works early. I bought the dashhawk for the 08 SS/TC I just sold.

Ok, the Dashhawk does display Trans Temp, and it does read it. It's under the GM Specific PID's. It does also read IAT's, Spark Retard (KR), coolant temps, Vac/boost and a bunch of other stuff, too much to list. On the SS/TC it would read the AFR too, but the Sport doesn't have a factory wide/narrow band, which ever it is. It's worth getting, I kept mine even getting rid of the SS/TC, cause it works on the Sports too. I got mine off Ebay, just make sure its the newer one.
The Interceptor Gauge also reads this, but it's a pillar pod deal. The Dashhawk you can display up to 6 or 7 different PID's at the same time.

I have installed in another one of my cars and the main thing is to have the right hoses and connections because their is a lot of pressure and you don't want one of the lines coming off. Overall though fairly easy.

yea i dont remember mine...i just slapped it on...lol. im sure yours cools better since its actually in front of the condenser. i have mine sandwiched in between the condenser and the radiator. when i got into my accident i smashed up my radiator and condenser. so when i purchased my new radiator i also got the tranny cooler and i placed it in front of the radiator. later i got the condenser and now its sandwiched. but it still works great

The ones with the plastic spikes are fine, its just they damage a few fins on the radiator and condenser but it actually doesn't hurt anything. Thing you have to take your fan off though during the process. You shouldn't have to cut your metal lines. Either need to adapt the hoses from the original lines or get some new ones made. B&M works good because they have a bypass so it doesn't cool the oil too much plus they are are a better design. Lines should go from tranny>radiator>cooler>tranny. Also remember it will take more fluid.
