Its not cost effective, sell the motor and trans and s/c your 2.4

If your getting the whole setup then you should be able to salvage most of the parts from the 2.0 to build your own 2.4 s/c kit. You will end up making more power w/ stock SC parts on your 2.4 then you will with a stock 2.0 motor in your 2.4 body. Check out Becks threads:

I guess what im trying to say is... No one has here has ever done it, and everytime its been discussed cost is the stopping factor. Plus the risk of screwing up your new $18,000 car with something no one has ever tried before.

i just wish i could have it a 5 speed...the only hard part to me would be canceling out the tcm...and tripping wires...other then that just bolt ons and making the shift cables work and setting up the pedal...ill just work on the supercharger swap first then.

trust me im not worried about taking anything apart in my car...i will have pics up soon i relocated my heater controls to where the cup holders were and carpets a template to go around it....and made a 6 gauge pod for where the heater controls were....had to relocate the heated seats and passenger air bag light too...

Just take all the parts off of it that you need to supercharge your 2.4, If you are worried about making less power because its auto don't be because even Hahn's 2.4 is auto. Auto is actually better sometimes and its better for a daily driver. You are gonna waste alot of time and money just to make less power

like people are saying, just sell what you can and use whatever to s/c the 2.4 way easier and cost effective. as for the tranny swap, I have no idea, i wouldnt do that on a new car. if you dont mind me asking, why didnt you get a 5pd to begin with? you can always go back to the dealer and see if you can trade it in for another 2.4 w/5spd or even a 2.0SS/SC...... if you do keep the auto tho, they will handle the power, I would just upgrade you cooler, and maybe buy a B&M shift kit or something...
Talk to celicacobalt https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/members/celicacobalt-1920/
He has a Turbo 2.4auto, and has done mods to his auto, maybe he can help you out better.....
Good Luck!!!

If you feel confident, then go for it.... theres a few people on here that ask that question..."can i swap my auto for a 5spd?" really I dont see why you guys dont buy one to begin with.... I can see if you buy an older car... you find one in great shape but its an auto and you swap to stick....but a new car, you kinda have more selection.... either way, it will probally get done one day by someone.... good luck if you do... make sure you write a "how to" haha
