Quickest m62 2.4?

Who has the best time in the 1/4 mile for a m62 on a 2.4? Is it a 13.8? That's what the 1/4 mile list says. But, I thought somebody went faster.

Due to a lack the lack of grammar this thread has gone straight into the *******. I think the 1/4 list has the fastest recorded 2.4 with an M62 to my knowledge. I'd like to see someone correct me if I'm wrong

Both of which were turbo cars, not m62'd like the OP is interested in. Someone HAS to have run faster than a 13.8.....

I'm wondering why would a 2.0 be faster than a 2.4? Are the internals that different were a 2.4 couldn't handle as much boost as a 2.0?

It's not that they don't have potential, it's more that the owners of 2.4's typically DD their car, and aren't willing to commit to big HP and a track setup with the expense of losing reliability, and this includes myself

Also, 2.4 manuals have an extra shift in their 1/4 mi journey, as our 3rd runs out well before the 1320 mark, typically in the 85-90mph range depending on your rev limiter.

p.s. to the OP, here is my slip from my first trip(and quickest) down the track with your m62. 2300 DA and short shiftin my life away as I was nervous as F*&^!! #31 btw

the 2.4 has higher compression then the LSJ's so therefore you can not push as much boost into them.

correct me if i'm wrong people who know what they're talkin about lol

14.4 on stock pulley, intake and everything else. LE5 + m62, that's about the best baseline you can get. That was a rich safe tune, as well. First run down the track.

i dont see the OPs argument here. Seems like M62 LE5's are running right with the LSJs. Of course the LSJ is likely to take the title of fastest because hell, how many M62 LE5's are out there? there aren't a lot of opportunities for beastly blown LE5s

I just wanted to know what the fastest time a le5 with a m62 ran cause I plan on beating it here in a few weeks. I didn't mention anything about the lsj. Someone else did.

edit... Maybe that sounds too cocky, this sounds better.... I would like to beat the current 1/4 mile time for a m62 on a 2.4.
