Yeah! Ur tellin me! I've managed to get myself out of every ticket I've ever gotten so far (KNOCK ON WOOD)... Fortunately I belong to a "well known family" that donates to the PD very often...

I'm SUCH a bad driver...

Perhaps you were closer to 170 mph and did not realize it ??? J/K , No disrespect meant but perhaps you should keep it under a 100 for a couple of years.

Well I'v noticed that the lines in the road vary in distance apart based on speed limit, at least in AZ, I did it on a freeway frontage road, with a posted speed limit of 45, so the lines were spaced acordingly. Lines in the freeway are farther apart, so it just looks faster on a lower speed limit road (not a bad idea)

The tire rating is for that speed. So the limit could be that exactly or a few less. My wifes GAGT came with V rated tires but is limited to 126mph
well since the 2.4 ss comes with z rated tires, at least mine did, then you can go like 180+ on them.... but im pretty sure its around the top of hte speedo without an acu tune

If price road is the name of the frontage road along the 101 then yes. I did it from ray to warner, the road gets pretty bumpy and scary at that speed, plus if a cop pulled me over going that fast he wouldn't even ask for my license and registraion, he'd just KILL ME!!!

I've had my ford exploder up to 110mph (178km/h), it wouldn't go must faster. For being 4000 lbs going that fast, pretty impressive I think, anyway. That was my need for speed for a while. Unless I'm in my buddies stealth.

Lol, I have driven a few things kinda fast

THe 130MPH rev limiter has been hit in the SS, as a matter of fact, on the way to work this morning, shhhhh its a secret

I once took my Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 to 125+(speedo stops after 125) to make a Civic Si feel really stupid...but i was pretty stupid for doing that lol anyways....I had an old 92 Eagle Talon DL (92hp baby w00t!) and had it to 130mph as well...took MINUTES to get there...lol

thanks for testing that.

ALthough I gotta call BS on the 130mph in the 92hp Talon. Speedo error plain and simple.

It does not have enough hp to do 130mph. The wind resistance increases expodentaily after 60mph

I managed 163, according to my hptuners software, it saved my highest top speed at the end of my run. But that was on the happy juice...

I've got my 2006 SS nonSC up to 200kph and didnt really feel like going any faster because I saw pick-up coming my way so I backed off, it was a nice loooong straight stretch but still I feel like being alive for a while still. Maybe this weekend I will see how much higher I can go, plan on taking a trip convoy style with radios in hand make sure it's all clear ya kno!
