So I found this How-To guide, and did everything right:

When I flip the switch to the 'On' position, my 'traction control off' light comes on, as well as the (emergency) 'brake' (engaged) light on the dash. In addition, the car acts like the e-brake is pulled while I'm driving (In terms of the constant ding dinging), and no, the e-brake does not activate. Also, the DIC displays Parking Brake, and I can switch to another reading, but it eventually comes on within a few minutes.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to turn the (emergency) 'brake' (engaged) light on the dash off, how to eliminate the constant dinging (if there's another way besides disconnecting the Scosche factory amp (or whichever part behind the head unit makes the noise). Finally, if someone could share how to get the DIC to stop displaying parking brake, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

Yeah it does, I just did it for fun because I already had a switch mounted that I wasn't using, and it only took a couple wires and an hour to say that I hardwired a traction control switch [:
