Go to someone reputable nearby that has access to HP tuners. They'll take it from there...

I got a question but don't know where to post so i'll ask through here. I got a Cobalt SS/SC with 10,000km and its stock. I was told the top speed for this car is 228kmph but a couple of days ago i decided to test it a little. I was able to bring it up to 245kmph and i swear it could have gone even faster. Does anyone know why it goes so fast ? I'm thinking it might be tuned differently but it still doesn't make sense since they say that without the spoiler it can go 232kmph. Once i was at that speed it accelerated even faster, almost feeling like i could have gone 255-260 no problem. if anyone's car is doin the same thing stock or if anyone knows why this is happeneing let me know. thanx

^^The SS/SC top speed is drag limited, meaning that there is no fuel cutoff. You can go as fast as your power will take you, up to redline.

Back to topic though: baltracer, just look around your area for a performance shop that really knows what they are doing and have them take care of all the gritty tuning details.

depends...most shops have dyno/tune time anywhere from $200-$500. I know a shop here was going to charge me close to 500 for a custom tune.

Either try to find a person local with hp tuners whos had experience with the le5 (or at least ecotecs) or get ahold of vector motorsports (google it). They have mail order tunes and everyone who has a vector tune loves it.

It must be, since you went faster than they said you could. Perhaps that was a calculation they did with the official numbers of 205 hp at the flywheel?
