Question? What 6-speed conversion are you going with? The Quaife, if so why?

...I wouldn't waste my money on the conversion...just build the turbo and build the engine...at the very least work on traction and tranny

So are you auto? If so you can get a Hahn turbo kit thats made for the 2.4 with the auto tranny. Just do a thread search and you'll find a ton of info on this mod.

you can also get a bm shift plus. A manual swap would cost you way too much.

WTF, keep the auto, they are alot stronger then the f23 5speed for the 2.2 & should hold boost better between shifts. Plus the swap is a waste of $...

Umm.....gt35? I'd say custom powerglide 2 speed auto trans....reason being, it seems you want a drag car, and a gt35 on a fwd car is not the best idea for the street (idk maybe it is since it's somewhat laggy), so the 2 speed would/will do wonders down the strip with a high stall converter....obviously you're going to have to rebuild like almost the entire motor to handle a gt35...good luck with everything

not being rude...but then why are they putting it on a 2.0? and cobalt is gonna have to build to fully utilize a gt35....so really that statement doesnt work...but in a sense the 2.0 is going to handle more from the get go

Dude...what are you talking about? This thread is about a 2.4 with a gt35 and not a 2.0. Second of all, obviously you're going to have to build the engine to fully utilize the gt35...which is exactly what i'm saying....so again...what are you talking about? I'm not comparing this to a 2.0

Thanks man...i'm thinking I went over board with the black wheels though

But yeah...I don't know what other tranny you could use other than an auto. Maybe a built manual tranny from a cavalier...wait they are the same as the cobalt 2.2 trans's right? Hmmmm yeah I don't know much about that. Maybe you can mate the auto from the v8 monte carlos and impalas (fwd ones) Sorry i'm talking about autos, I know you want to go to a manual but I have no idea which one would work that would suppourt gt35 power
