Glad some people think thats reasonable. We're talking what, 50-60 hp? So like $55-60 per hp. Can get that from a quick 50 shot of nitrous for $500.

Might rethink that turbo then and just wait till I can get an 09 or 2010 Camaro.

this info is mostly from what hahn has personally told some of us and from comparing the cavy kits to what ours might be

that guy made a good point about turbo lag since everyone seems to think that this will be an issue when you have a turbocharged car. i'll have to keep that in mind...

we won't be able to use this turbo system... the solstice engine is facing in the opposite direction of our engines....

No if you buy this kit it won't "bolt-on" and be ready to go. ALl you really are going to have to do is re-route the intercooler piping.

i was in yorkville where hahn is located sence ive ben workin there sence i work construction and they had a cobalt ss 2.4 out by one of the garages so i told my dad to call the guy he knows and ask about any info and they were putin the turbo from the cobalt 2.2 on it to see if it would work without any problems sence the kit there makin is almost identical to the 2.2 so we will find out i think the 2.4 kit just has a bigger style turbo sence the 2.2 probably uses a g16 it hink our motors can handle more psi i duno though we will find out soon enough..

Our motor will actually handle less. They used a 16g for the solstice kit so i'm assuming they will use it for the Cobalt

Kit's as mentioned are available for the Solstice but there's still a 3-5 week wait time for all kits ordered. Unfortunately I wouldn't expect to see the Cobalt kit until Hahn's has cuaght up with production demand for the Solstice/Sky (which is out now too) for them to focus on finalizing Cobalt development and testing.

Currently i'm talking with Bill Hahn about being the test car for their turbo kit for the 2.4 Cobalts. He is talking about getting it done in May and should only take 2-4 weeks to get everything tuned and fitted on the car properly. So look for a release this summer around June-July. I'll keep you guys updated.

Yeah, I am starting to get impatient However there was a post on here somewhere that said the getrag tranny is already maxed out on our 2.4 at 170hp. I don't want to have this F/I kit and then have the tranny not even last 30-40k miles. I doubt the warrnty would still be in place to get me a new one, lol.

I wouldn't believe that. There are plenty of j-body eco's running 200+hp and there getrags, which i believe are the same have held up fine. The clutch however thats another story.

is anyone sure that hahn is producing a turbo for the 2.4? i got on their website and it talks about a turbo that works with the supercharged 2.0's and one that works on the 2.2's but nothing about the 2.4. here is the link http://www.hahnracecraft.com/Project...der/Cobalt.htm
