so i am wanting to buy a catless downpipe and i know that when you get this done you need a tune but i wont be getting tuned until the spring if i put the downpipe on now would i be doing ny harm to anything

no it wont damage anything, but if you need to go through emission you wont pass with a CEL

Good choice, so where are you getting your downpipe from? I got mine from clearimage auto along with the header. You will definetly want a tune I suggest going with Trifecta as my 2.4 is night and day since I got my tune.

mine still sound stock, i still have stock catback , im thinking of changing only the muffler on the car, if it is too loud i will put a resonator, both magnaflow.
also fyi im boosted.

 

yes, catless on any non-turbo cobalt will probably not sound nice

 

I had a catless dp and Megan racing exhaust and my car sounded good

 

ya i have the stock exhaust with a mufller right now but i may be buying the tsudo exhaust off a friend how are they for quality and performance

 

i have stock muffler back on but a shorter resonator, 18". and i am just got boosted over the weekend and it's alright but if you do anything besides keeping the stock muffler or spending serious money on one of those quiet muffler it will sound bad.

 

you will get lots of opinions on this exhaust i say invest in a better imo
