none...

the injectors are only there to determine how rich or lean your running.... so say running stage 2 with stock injectors hmm may not be a good idea considering that youll be running really lean... or running a 2.7 with stage 2 injectors same thing.. or running a stock pully with 42 lbers in there youll run really rich....

The only time you will "gain" power from bigger injectors is if you are running lean and are able to compensate by adding more fuel w/ the larger injectors via tuning it.

I think they (2.4s) are doing it because when they have full bolt ons and an aggressive tune, they are seeing a high IDC with the stock injectors.

The larger injectors are not need on the 2.4 period. Unless you have cams and headwork or some type of F/i, haveing larger injectors just gives you something else to put in you mod list.

... I think I understand where this is coming from...
Yes, the GM stage 1 for the LSJ is simply injectors and a tune... yes it gains power....

Why?
Because in this tune, the redline gets raised, releasing more power potential from the car.... the injectors are put in to accomidate the extra fuel needed at the higher engine speeds.

Injectors are a potential power mod.
like high octane fuel.

by themselves, they basically do nothing.
but when you tune to take advantage of those mods, power can be gained.

Tuen your COT off. and your IDC's will drop atleast 10%

or atleast retune the COT, because it commands a stupid rich AFR among the line of a 10.1 AFR

You'll only get "gains" from bigger injectors if the injectors you are running are insufficient for the power your making. Adding bigger injectors just allows your motor to create more power, but they dont make the power itself.

One thing that does help, is that often when people put on bigger injectors, the injectors they put on are of a better quality, and a bit faster. This doesn't really raise hp, but does increase the overall performance.

so with my set-up...I/H/DP/E and soon to be HP tuned, i don't need bigger injectors? the stock ones are fine? I have a 2.4 G5 by the way...I've been told before they'd just be a waste with that set-up and if i was getting cams or headwork, then I'd need to get them.

Just wanna clarify...lol

Have your tuner log the car to check your IDC's, I have the same set up as you, and my IDC's are only 79% so depending on your tuner and what your IDC's are is when you make your choice.

That is correct, you shouldn't need larger injectors, your tuner can tell you what your IDC is..

I'm not sure about the cams question, G5mike would be a good guy to answer that, he is/was one of the few 2.4 with cams
