Talking

I have upgraded to Mobil 1 on mine the first oil change and then I just added the SC kit at 4500 miles. Since Mobil 1 is $22.00 for a 5 quart jug at WalMart it isn't that big of a deal.

u described two things that have nothing to do with motor oil, great arguement, u keep using the cheap oil and i'll stick to my synthetic. You seem to think synthetic was designed only for top model sport model cars, its amazing.

I feel sorry for people who listen to you based on those arguements....

Your car isn't going to fall apart because you run conventional. All those 100k+ mile SBCs and Hondas didn't run synthetic for a vast majority of their life and I'm certain many of them still don't run synthetic. To insinuate that your going to bring about premature failure of your vehicle BY FOLLOWING MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDATIONS is ridiculous.

My point was that using synthetic oil adds cost to owning a vehicle over using conventional oil, just like having 2" axleshafts and an oversized transmission would cause the sticker price of the car to increase when it isn't needed for the reliable operation of the vehicle.

Get some Castrol GTX or Valvoline and call it a day.
